2025 ETAWA Multiple Choice Question Competition

This year, ETAWA hosted a Multi-Choice Question Competition to promote the study of Economics across all year groups.  There were cash prizes awarded to the winners in each year group, and we had well over 5,000 students participate!  Congratulations to all students who submitted an entry and we hope to have even more schools involved next year.

The competition took place entirely online, over 2 x rapid-fire rounds.  Each student could only participate once and schools could enter as many participants as they'd like.  The questions were based on SCSA 7-10 Economics & Business curriculum in the lower years, and ATAR Economics curriculum for the Senior years.  There were three divisions:


After Qualifying Round, the highest scoring students in each division were invited to compete in the Finals Round.  Roughly 300 students were selected for Finals Round, from all the participants, and below were the overall winners:

Terms and Conditions

  1. The Economics Teachers’ Association of Western Australia reserves the right to use winning students' results in the aim of further promoting the study of Economics.
  2. If all required documents that must be submitted by finalists are not submitted, the finalist's entry will be deemed invalid.
  3. If there is a tie in the Final Round results for a division, the prize money will be shared.
